Fortress designs and fabricates solid surface and laminate countertops in our Columbus facility. We also work closely with local stone fabricators to facilitate the sourcing, design, and installation of granite, quartz, quartzite, and marble for our clients.

Solid Surface
Non-porous, hygienic, and seamless — solid surface countertops (Corian, HI-MACS, Hanex) are fabricated in-house. Pieces are permanently bonded, sanded, and polished so seams are nearly invisible. Highly repairable: cracks, gouges, and scratches can be filled and sanded to look like new. Available in a wide range of colors and patterns.
Laminate Countertops
One of the most popular and affordable countertop options. Modern high-pressure laminates (HPL) have improved significantly in realism and performance. Available in a wide variety of colors, patterns — including realistic stone and wood grains — and textures. A practical, budget-friendly choice for high-traffic areas.
Fortress Metro Top
Our signature machine-built countertop: a 1⅛" particleboard substrate with a laminate surface and matching PVC edge band. Metro Tops are affordable, highly durable, and have extremely fast lead times — perfect for multifamily, commercial, and budget-conscious residential projects.
Granite
A hard, durable igneous rock offering excellent heat and scratch resistance in a wide variety of natural colors and patterns. Requires periodic sealing. We work with local stone fabricators to facilitate sourcing, templating, fabrication, and installation.
Quartz (Engineered Stone)
Made from 90–95% crushed natural quartz with resin binders. Consistent appearance, non-porous, scratch- and stain-resistant, and requires no sealing — making it extremely low-maintenance. Available in hundreds of colors and patterns, including realistic marble and granite looks.
Quartzite & Marble
Quartzite offers dramatic veining with superior durability and scratch resistance. Marble is prized for its elegant, luminous appearance but is softer and requires regular sealing. We coordinate sourcing, design, and professional installation through our established stone shop partnerships.
